The Kansas Office of Veterans Services (KOVS) is committed to enhancing the lives of our state's Veterans and their Families. Whether aiding Veterans in filing claims for education, medical, or other benefits, or supporting them in securing deserved medals and military awards, KOVS stands ready to assist. These essential programs and services are a testament to the gratitude of our nation and state.
To facilitate access to these benefits, KOVS offers Veteran Service Representatives (VSRs) at no cost, dedicated to guiding Veterans and their Families through the application process. These VSRs are strategically stationed throughout Kansas or funded through grants to National Veterans Service Organizations like the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
The KOVS Veteran Services Program can help you file VA claims for:
- Education Benefits,
- Non-Service Connected Pension Benefits,
- Service-Connected Disability Compensation Benefits,
- Spouse and Dependent Benefits,
- State Benefits,
- VA Health Care Benefits.
If you have a claim to file or would like to learn more about Veteran benefits, contact a local Veteran Service Representative or call us toll free at (800) 513-7731. As Veterans advocates, KOVS is committed to assisting Veterans and their Families with obtaining the benefits they have earned as a result of a Veterans honorable military service.
"It is a true honor to advocate for the hundreds of thousands of Veterans and Family members in Kansas! The dedication of our Veterans Home and Soldiers Home workers, Cemetery employees, and Veteran Services Representatives is unmatched when it comes to serving those who served."
– Eric Rohleder, Deputy Director, KOVS
